Products

Polyethylene (PE)

Obtained from the polymerization of ethylene with various methods polyethylene is a durable, shiny, transparent and opaque white chemical which does not become disturbed in from the effects of many chemicals. Because it is resistant to chemical and environmental conditions it is the most often used type of plastic we use in our daily lives. It has many uses such as bleach, detergent, shampoo bottles, motor oil bottles, garbage bags. It’s low cost. More

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

PVC, commonly known as 'vinyl' which is a shortened form of the word (polyvinyl chloride) is a polymer type which is produced at petrochemical plants from salt and oil (or gas). PVC is the 3rd most commonly used plastic raw material after polyethyln and polypropylene. Preference reasons; easy processability, water resistance, fire and flame resistance, recyclability, cost advantages, light weight, durability, easy to repair, flexibility, transparency and robustness. More

Polypropylene (PP)

It is a polymer which is produced by propylene monomer (obtained from gasses which comes out of olefin plants and oil refineries), being polymerized by coordination catalysts. Because of its low density and high resistance it has a very high strength/weight ratio. It is therefore the most commonly used polymer in every field. Including but not limited to automotives, textiles and packing industries. The melting point of polypropylene crystals is about 160 degrees and processes take place usually over 200 degrees. More

Polystyrene (PS)

Polystyrene is a rigid and transparent plastic raw material made by the polymerization of styrene monomer. Polystyrene (PS) is one of the most often encountered plastics in our daily lives. Because it’s a thermoplastic polymer, it can be processed and molded by heating and cooling. It is prefered because of it transparency, good processability, fluidity, food compatibility, and the many other features. Anti-shock (HIPS - High Impact) and Crystal (GPPS - General purpose polystyrene) types are available for trade. More

High density polyethylene (HDPE)

High density polyethylene is chemicaly the closest to pure polyethylene. This type has unbranched molecules with very few defects ,distorting linearity . Eventhough the small defects distort the order in a slight manner, crystallization can be achieved in high levels resulting in a high density polyethylene. High-density polyethylene has a density of about 0.94 to 0.97 g / cm3.

Usage Areas
  • Household goods, toys
  • Packaging film
  • Pipes(with pressure or not) (water, gas, waste water, corrugated, sprinkler, etc.)
  • Bottle of detergent and cosmetics (non-transparent)
  • Plate, paper and rotational molding material in the metal coating
  • Athlete type grocery bags, plastic bags, Laminating, net bags
Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

The reason it is called low density polyethylene is because during the crystalisation process, polimers containing strong bonds are formed which decreases density. The branches principally contain ethyl and butyl groups.Long chain branchings form randomly on the primary long chain.Low density polyethylene has an average density of 0.90 to 0.94 g / cm3.

Usage Areas
  • Heavy bag
  • Greenhouse sheet
  • Packaging film
  • Cable sleeving
  • Household goods, toys
  • Pipe, hose, tube, bottle, fabric
  • Metal coatings, rotations, molding materials
  • All kinds of stretch and shrink film
  • Bags, plastic bags for napkins
Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)

LLDPE ‘s features are quite different from LDPE. Resistance to stress and strain is higher in comperasent to LDPE, impact resistance is also better. Heat resistance is 15 ° C higher, it is more difficult to process. In contrast, clarity and brightness are worse, melting strength is lower. LLDPE production is performed in a gas phase process, the resulting resin, ethylene – alpha-olefin copolymer has a linear structure. Because LLDPE has no branching, during process elongation towards machnine pull is a lot.Elongation perpendicular to machine pull is low. LLDPE is also produced as copolymers with octene ,hexane and butene.

Usage Areas
  • Store Bag
  • Market, Grocery athlete bags
  • Stretch Film
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Thin Film for Lamination
  • Salt, Sugar, Chicken bag
  • Kitchen goods obtained by an injection molding technique
  • Toys
  • Masterbatch Manufacturing
  • Tanks and other pieces produced with rotation

Gentek Enerji ve Teknolojileri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

The company founded in 2012 is an Engineering and R&D company. It engages in the development of domestic Technologies in the energy sector and carries out energy projects for the public and private sectors within the scope of Teknokent. Its target audience is thermal power plants that produce electricity with fossil fuels, especially coal.

We can group its activities under two main headings;

  • Boiler Combustion Optimization:

Performance tests are performed in coal-fired thermal power plants and inefficient systems and processes are determined, a special software program developed by engineers of Gentek Energy company is integrated into air pressure and temperature measurement devices and a road map is determined for the solution. With this software, optimum working settings are determined and the efficiency of the boilers are increased.

  • Coal Drying and Enrichment technology:

With the technology developed by Gentek energy, the coal used for the production of electricity is treated to increases its calorific value by reducing its moisture before it is fed into the boilers and separating the heavy metals within its body by utilizing the waste heat of the thermal power plant, as a result the power plant generates more electricity with the same amount of coal.

Gentek Energy has developed the above-mentioned coal drying and enrichment technology by receiving the highest grant support from TÜBİTAK to date. With this project, it was also deemed worthy of technology award in TUSİAD’s medium-sized company category. R&D activities are carried out in the Çukurova University Balcalı Campus ,Teknokent building.

PowerGen Energy Technologies

Our firm working closely Gentek Energy has proved succsesfull in all the projects that it has undertaken. It’s main work is in USA which has the worlds biggest coal powered energy plant pottential and it aims to provide services to allready existing plants, sell advanced technology products, keep track of technological advancements within its line of work and market.

Doğuş Mining:

Acquired and included to the group companies in 2019, Doğuş Mining Co. has 3 coal mining licenses with total area over 3800 hectares. The company set out to research and put forth the existing reserves and all related production details of the license it prioritized for R&D in a professional and credible manner. In this context research activities were caried out under full time supervision and quality assurance/quality control protocols of the international independent consultancy firm and its QP, with cored drilling firms, accredited coal laboratories, accredited jeo-technics laboratories, geophysical analysis and water drilling firms, all representing the very best of the country in their respective fields. The results of these research activities were reported by the international independent consultant and its QP in accordance with JORC standards. The company completed all necessary permits of the license, where 80 million tons of coal were determined, making it ready to commence operations.

TMT Chemicals:

The firm was established in 2014 with the aim of trading liquid chemicals. Different from petrochemicals trade, the existence of serious price fluctuations and momentary arbitrage opportunities being the main focus of liquid chemicals trade kept the activities of the company limited due to risk management principles.
